Mother’s Day at Picton Castle

Mother’s Day is a special treat for all Mums at Picton Castle. Spend the day enjoying the castle and gardens at your leisure and take advantage of our special tour and free guided tours. Plus, all Mums receive a small special thank you gift from Picton.

Gardens opening times – 10am to 5pm

Castle opening times – 1.30pm to 3.30pm

Special Tour, ‘Memories of my Childhood’.

We are delighted to be able to announce a special tour for Mother’s Day, with Nicky Philipps. She is a an internationally renowned portrait artist, and grand daughter of the last people to live at Picton Castle. Her talk will focus on what life was like at Picton when it was a private house. This a rare opportunity to meet a fascinating individual with unique stories to share.

The tour will be at 2pm, and is charged at £5 per person (normal admission applies). Spaces on this tour are limited and are on a first come first served basis on the day.

Free Guided Castle Tours

We are offering free guided tours of the castle with your Mum on Mother’s Day.

  • Tour length: 30 minutes
  • Tour times: 1.30pm,  and 3pm and 3.30pm
  • Maximum of 15 people per tour

Tours are limited and booking in advance is strongly advised

Normal admission applies and is payable at the gate.

For Children

There is plenty for children to enjoy, including:

  • The adventure playground
  • The nature trail in Peep-in Woods
  • ‘Welsh myths’ themed trail for children

A Little Thank You

All Mums will receive a small “thank you for everything” gift.
