Wildlife Week

Join us for Wildlife Week at Picton Castle, focused on encouraging biodiversity and learning about wildlife across the gardens, castle and Heritage Centre.
What’s Included
Each child will receive a paper activity bag from the ticket office, containing wildlife themed activities, hedgehog food and sunflower seeds to plant.
A garden trail is included in the activity bag, encouraging children to explore the gardens and look for things that link to the wildlife theme.
Heritage Centre Activities
The Heritage Centre will offer self led children’s activities throughout the day from 10am to 3pm.
Bird watching and a bug hotel session will be available every day from 11am to 12.30pm, led by our staff.
Ranger Walks
At 1pm, we are offering free of charge ranger walks for children around the gardens.
- Booking is required at the ticket office
- The meeting point is the courtyard by the restaurant
Admission and Opening Times
Admission to the gardens is half price during Wildlife Week.
There is no extra charge for activities.
The castle will be open daily from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
