Our Christmas Market was a huge success last weekend and we were delighted to welcome so many visitors to the festive event! The jolly atmosphere felt like the perfect start to the Christmas season.
Snow arrived two days before the event which made the setup more challenging than usual. Our team and volunteers worked hard to clear routes, prepare the grounds and get every stall in place in time for opening. The snow also added an unexpected touch of magic though – the castle looked beautiful against the white landscape.
Inside the castle, the rooms were decorated for Christmas and created a warm and inviting setting for the stalls. The decorations complemented the handmade gifts, food items and crafts on display and helped bring the whole event together. It was lovely to see families, couples and groups of friends exploring the castle and its grounds at their own pace and discovering a huge variety of local makers.
We were especially pleased by the support shown to the stallholders. Many traders told us they had an excellent weekend and appreciated the enthusiasm from visitors. The positive feedback we received throughout both days means a great deal to us and helps us continue improving the experience each year.
The atmosphere across the weekend was friendly, relaxed and full of festive anticipation. Seeing everywhere so busy and filled with seasonal cheer was a highlight for our team and a wonderful reward after a snowy few days of preparation.
